IHG Reward Club has launched a 2X bonus points promotion on dining, drinks and in-room services when you stay at participating hotels in Hotels & Resorts in Asia Pacific (excluding China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), Middle East and Africa between 1 July and 31 October 2014. Usually you earn 10 points for every US$1 spent but with this promotion you can earn 20 points for every US$1 spent.

My conclusion

The Double Points can be earned from any guest spend charged to the room, excluding room rate, but including food and beverage, laundry services, telephone calls and room-service. Because this promotion exclude hotels in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, there are only 68 hotels actually participate in this promotion.
